Researchers tested human urine and found bisphenols and triclosan in nearly everyone. Along with their metabolites, confirming your body is constantly processing these chemicals.

What the Study Found

A 2026 study documented the occurrence and characteristics of bisphenols, triclosan, and their conjugated metabolites in human urine. The chemicals were widespread, with multiple bisphenol types and triclosan detected alongside their breakdown products.

The presence of metabolites proves your body is actively trying to process and eliminate these chemicals. But with constant daily exposure, the body never fully clears them.

What You Can Do

Reduce daily exposure to give your body a chance to clear these chemicals. Avoid plastic food containers. Check soap and body wash for triclosan. Choose BPA-free, BPS-free, and triclosan-free products.
