Your child's hormones are being programmed before they are even born. A 2026 study published in Environmental Research found that prenatal exposure to PFAS—the so-called forever chemicals—is directly associated with earlier pubertal development in both boys and girls.

Researchers tracked the INMA cohort in Spain and found that higher maternal levels of specific PFAS compounds correlated with shifts in the timing of puberty. We aren't talking about minor fluctuations. These chemicals act as endocrine disruptors, interfering with the delicate hormonal signals that govern growth and development.

You can't scrub these chemicals out of the environment, but you can control what comes into your home. Start by auditing your nursery and kitchen for non-stick coatings, water-resistant fabrics, and plastic food containers. These are the primary delivery systems for PFAS.

It is time to stop waiting for regulations to catch up. You can start making safer swaps today by exploring our non-toxic baby alternatives. Every item we carry is vetted to ensure you aren't bringing these persistent chemicals into your home.
