These effects are documented most clearly in high-fluoride areas and with industrial exposure, not standard municipal fluoridation at 0.7 mg/L. But people who drink large volumes of fluoridated water, or live in areas with naturally elevated groundwater fluoride, may be consuming more than the standard assumption.
